LPI works with public institutions and public-serving organizations to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and internal capacity needed to build and sustain effective language access systems.
Our training and capacity-building work is designed to help institutions move beyond one-time learning and toward stronger long-term practice. We support organizations in building the internal understanding, leadership capacity, and operational readiness needed to design, govern, and sustain effective multilingual communication systems.
Depending on the context, this may include work related to:
- tailored trainings for public institutions and public-serving organizations
- workshops on language access policy and implementation
- staff and leadership learning sessions
- training on multilingual service design and institutional practice
- guidance on the responsible use of language technologies in public-facing settings
- customized learning experiences based on sector, role, or institutional context
- curriculum and learning design for language access and multilingual governance topics
We recognize that institutions face different challenges. Some are building language access systems from the ground up. Others are refining policies, strengthening implementation, or responding to new questions around digital communication and language technology. For that reason, LPI’s approach is designed to be practical, context-responsive, and adaptable.
Over time, this area of work may also expand to include more structured learning offerings, toolkits, curriculum-based resources, and collaborative learning models that support stronger institutional practice and field development.
LPI is interested not only in delivering training, but also in helping shape stronger learning strategies and bold, practical ideas that can improve how institutions build language access capacity over time.
